On Thursday night we were encouraged to have 27 youth from 4 different people groups come to our house to learn more about truth and the impact it will have on their lives. These are mostly young people from the surrounding villages who have come to the city to go to school.
On Saturday we celebrated Aisa's 5th birthday. She had been struggling with a fever and an ear infection for three days at this point, so regrettably we had to cancel her party.
Thanks to those who sent presents, she was super excited.

This week we have also been helping a family from a village up in the mountains bring their son to a hospital here in town. Although he's only a year old, he needed to have surgery for hernia. The operation went well, and the family will be in town for another week or so until all the check ups are done. We're so thankful for being able to have a small part in these people's lives. Their testimonies are such an encouragement to us. One body (Eph 3), amazing!
After our meeting on Sunday we had some close friends over for dinner. Esther made lasagna, which after being doused in chili sauce turned out to be a huge hit!
Each Sunday afternoon we meet at the hangar for some fellowship and a game of what at a glance may look like volleyball, but in truth is just a bunch of people aimlessly smacking a ball around. The existence of the net might well be a complete coincidence as far as I know.
